PET/CT Technologist (Dual License)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5×8 hours; 40 hours/week

Pay Rate:
Local: $90–$95/hr
Traveler: $95–$100/hr

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Active New York State Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with injection registration
• NMTCB (NMT) or ARRT (N) certification — Required
• ARRT (CT) certification — Required
• BLS certification — Required
• Dual Nuclear Medicine & CT license
• IV access experience
• PET/CT imaging experience
• Experience with PACS, RIS, MIM, and Syngo

Responsibilities:

• Perform PET and diagnostic CT imaging procedures
• Start peripheral IVs and administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents
• Review patient history, safety screening, glucose levels, and pre-procedure requirements
• Process PET/CT fusion images and perform axial fusion reconstructions
• Perform daily quality control on PET/CT equipment and dose calibrators
• Transfer studies to PACS, RIS, MIM, and Syngo
• Maintain accurate dose documentation
• Follow radiation safety, HIPAA, and facility standards
• Educate patients and provide compassionate patient care
