PET/CT Technologist

Travel PET/CT Technologist (Nuclear Medicine Tech)
Location: New York
Pay: $3,200 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)

Schedule:
Monday – Friday
Shifts vary: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
No weekends, no call, no holidays

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced PET/CT Technologist with strong Nuclear Medicine experience for a weekday-only assignment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing PET/CT imaging procedures, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging in a patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review patient history and physician orders prior to procedures

• Educate patients on procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation

• Perform PET/CT and nuclear medicine imaging procedures

• Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images

• Analyze imaging results and troubleshoot quality issues

• Administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per protocol

• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes as needed

• Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately

• Maintain inventory and ensure proper functioning of equipment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience

• Active New York State license (required)

• PET/CT experience required

• CT Certification required

• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and protocols

Certifications:

• ARRT (CT)

• NMTCB (CT) or CNMT certification

• RT (NM) through ARRT accepted

• BLS (AHA required)

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with GE PET or Philips PET scanners
