Position Summary
The Team Lead is responsible for executing and overseeing pet care operations during their shift, ensuring that every aspect of guest care is delivered safely, consistently, and at a high standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The Team Lead sets the tone on the floor—guiding team members, maintaining structure, and ensuring that all care, safety, and operational protocols are followed without exception.

What You’ll Be Exceptional At
Guest Care & Playgroup Management
Managing playgroups safely and effectively, ensuring appropriate grouping based on size, temperament, and play style
Continuously monitoring dog behavior, body language, and energy levels to maintain a controlled and positive environment
Intervening early and confidently to prevent escalation or unsafe situations
Ensuring each pet is engaged, comfortable, and appropriately supervised throughout their time in group
Back-of-House Execution & Operational Discipline
Overseeing accurate execution of feeding, medication, and individualized care instructions for each guest
Ensuring all tasks are completed on time and according to established processes and standards
Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and well-organized environment across suites, play areas, and common spaces
Identifying gaps in execution and addressing them in real time

What You’ll Be Comfortable With
Customer Awareness & Communication
Supporting a positive client experience by ensuring accurate and timely information is communicated to the front-of-house team
Understanding the importance of how care is delivered—not just that it is delivered
Providing context or updates when needed to support client communication
Front-of-House Support
Assisting with check-ins, check-outs, and guest transitions when needed
Supporting coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house to ensure a seamless experience
Maintaining awareness of front desk flow during busy periods
Team Leadership & Shift Ownership
Directing Team Members during shifts to ensure clarity of roles, priorities, and expectations
Providing real-time guidance, feedback, and support to maintain performance and standards
Reinforcing accountability while maintaining a calm, focused, and professional environment
Leading by example—stepping in wherever needed to support the team and operation

Requirements
Required:
Passion for working with dogs and cats, and delivering uncompromising care
Experience working with dogs in a group setting (daycare, boarding, or similar)
Demonstrated ability to guide or lead others in an operational environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
Comfortable working on your feet in an active environment
Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
Valid driver’s license and willingness to safely operate company vehicles (e.g., SUV or minivan) as needed
Willingness to support overnight (ON) coverage on a limited, rotational basis to support team needs and overall operation
Preferred:
Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role
Experience administering medication or handling special care needs
Training or certification in pet care, animal behavior, or first aid
