Job Overview
The primary function of the Petroleum Construction Laborer is to perform a variety of tasks including installing and repairing fuel storage and dispensing equipment on both external customer and internal Corrigan property sites. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Petroleum Construction Foreman.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform manual labor as assigned and vary by day.
- Responsible for repairing and installing fuel product lines.
- Responsible for repairing and installing fuel dispensers.
- Able to operate various machinery and equipment trained on.
- Cut, thread and install fuel piping.
- Ensure that all work is being done in compliance with Company protocol.
- Proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Effectively handle lifting of various objects.
- Read and interpret safety/employment manuals and other work-related documents.
- Work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Operate various types of hand and power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Able to lift 60 pounds of equipment; push and pull 75 pounds and climb a ladder with multiple rungs.
- Handle exposure to dust, fumes and high noise levels.
- Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.
- Demonstrate professionalism, be courteous and always be friendly to customers and co-workers.
- Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous meetings.
- Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as well as Employee Handbook policies.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications / Experience / Education
- 3+ years in mechanical services and relevant technical skills including general maintenance.
- Must have valid drivers' license. CDL A - preferred.
- Versatile and willing to adapt to a situation.
- Communicate well through emails, over the phone, or face-to-face.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail including follow up and follow through.
- Pass a pre-employment 7-year criminal background check.
