Position Overview: We are currently hiring for a Petroleum Construction Technician capable of gathering site information, working independently on small projects, and a strong team player for larger projects. This full-time position offers competitive pay and benefits, along with opportunities for career growth.

Pay ranges from $30–$35 per hour based on experience and includes full benefits, PTO, 401(k) with match, plus a company truck, gas card, cell phone, and laptop.

Your Mission:

  • Complete site walks and provide insights on construction projects.
  • Assist with site preparation, including setting up and removing structures and tools.
  • Operate hand tools and construction equipment.
  • Work independently and/or with a team to complete installation of drop tubes, risers, fuel lines, spill buckets, and other petroleum-related components.
  • Pour and finish small sections of concrete, including setting rebar.
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
  • Conduct testing, maintenance, and repair of petroleum fuel lines and tanks.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment through daily site clean-up.
  • Support skilled tradespeople and follow safety procedures on the job site.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Colorado Qualified Service Technician (QST) certification.
  • Previous experience in construction, petroleum systems, or mechanical/electrical services.
  • Prior experience with fuel dispensers, pumps, hydraulic equipment, or in the petroleum construction industry is a plus.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong physical stamina for tasks requiring lifting (up to 75 lbs), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability to operate construction tools and machinery.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong desire to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks.
  • A commitment to safety with knowledge of industry safety protocols.

Before You Leap:

Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:

  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check. This position is classified as safety-sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.

  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.
