Pharmaceutical Formulation Operations Technician — Vandalia, OH

Make an impact from day one

In this developmental position (Technician I, II, or III), you’ll receive training while contributing to hands-on drug product work. You’ll help move formulations from small-scale trials to commercial production, mastering techniques like dispensing, blending, granulation, tablet compression, and coating.

How you’ll contribute

  • Partner with R&D Formulations to run product development and process optimization activities that demonstrate robust, repeatable outcomes across scales.
  • Lead day-to-day coordination for cleaning, process validation, and CMS technical/process operations with Quality, Operations, R&D, and Regulatory Affairs on commercial and R&D programs.
  • Confirm sampling and testing plans are executed and recorded accurately.
  • Assist in authoring technical documentation and developing master formulary records.
  • Adhere to protocols and batch records for development batches; provide timely observations to CMS Manufacturing Associates and the R&D Formulation group.
  • Support additional responsibilities as assigned.

What you’ll bring

  • Role level aligned to experience; minimum of a high school diploma plus 5+ years in a pharmaceutical environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Broad exposure to unit operations including granulation, blending, compression, coating, and encapsulation.
  • Experience operating granulators, tablet presses, coating systems, and encapsulators.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Clear, professional communication skills across written and verbal formats.
  • Practical knowledge of cGMP requirements.
  • Understanding of analytical laboratory testing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
  • Availability for occasional travel and weekend work as required.
