Job Description

Pay Range: $16.75hr - $21.75hr

Job Overview:

Responsible for visually inspecting filled product off the filling line following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP). The production inspector will work in the Capping Department and on the off-line inspection area, maintaining complete knowledge of procedures and equipment in each area.

Principal Activities Performed By The Incumbent:

  • Visually inspects products for various defects.
  • Documents work accurately and timely.
  • Complies with current SOPs and cGMPs.
  • Sets up, adjusts, and operates equipment such as inspection machines and cappers.
  • Performs and documents critical start-up procedures for filling operations such as filter integrity test, line clearance, and component verification.
  • Performs and documents quality checks on product.
  • Calculates percent defective on inspection results and reconciles components on batch record.
  • Loads and unloads vials from turntables.
  • Stacks, wraps, and moves pallets of product.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills to perform required calculations including multiplication and division.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must maintain acceptable visual acuity and satisfy visual inspection qualification requirements.

Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

  • Ability to visual detect defective vials.
  • Ability to load and unload vials from turntables.
  • Ability to stack, wrap, and move pallets of product.
