 JSG is recruiting an Operations Specialist who will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of pharmaceutical quality and safety. In this pivotal position, you will leverage your technical expertise and laboratory experience to support our global manufacturing network, delivering reliable and compliant products to patients worldwide. This is a contract position in Elkton VA.

Pay $33.71/hour

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline
  • Minimum of two years' quality or laboratory experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or an advanced degree
  • Proven experience with laboratory instrumentation and bench testing
  • Strong communication skills and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Experience with laboratory data management systems and instrument troubleshooting

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Prior experience with laboratory data management systems such as LIMS or Empower
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation such as KF, IR, GC, HPLC, and UPLC

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field
  • At least two years of hands-on laboratory or quality control experience within a pharmaceutical setting
  • Shift flexibility and ability to work in environments with potential beta-lactam antibiotic exposure

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, inclusive of night shifts and weekends
  • Ability to operate in an environment with potential exposure to beta-lactam antibiotics
  • Experience with laboratory GMP activities, second person review, and electronic record review
