We are seeking experienced Pharmacists for the VA Health Care System. This position includes both (1) Inpatient and (1)Outpatient Pharmacy roles, supporting Veterans by providing comprehensive pharmaceutical services. The pharmacist will ensure medication safety, conduct patient consultations, and work closely with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.

Key Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/h4>
  • Verify and dispense medications for inpatient and outpatient use.
    <\/li>
  • Conduct medication therapy management and provide patient counseling.
    <\/li>
  • Manage controlled substances and ensure compliance with VA regulations.
    <\/li>
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and adjust medication plans.
    <\/li>
  • Oversee medication preparation, compounding, and administration protocols.
    <\/li>
  • Document all pharmaceutical activities in VISTA/CPRS<\/b> electronic medical records.
    <\/li>
  • Provide drug information and training to pharmacy staff and healthcare teams.
    <\/li>
  • Maintain compliance with all VA policies, state and federal laws, and pharmacy best practices<\/b>.

    Schedule:<\/b>
    <\/h3>
    • 40 -hour workweek<\/b> with 8 -hour shifts<\/b>, including day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday rotations<\/b> as needed.

      Requirements<\/h3>
      • Licensure:<\/b>
        • Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License<\/b> in any U.S. State, Territory, or the District of Columbia<\/b>.
          <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
        • Education:<\/b>
          • Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)<\/b> accredited college with a BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)<\/b> degree.
            <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
          • Experience:<\/b>
            • Minimum 3<\/b> years<\/b> of experience in an inpatient or outpatient pharmacy<\/b> setting (VA experience preferred).
              <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
            • Technical Proficiency:<\/b>
              • Knowledge of VISTA/CPRS<\/b> electronic medical record systems.
                <\/li>
              • Experience with medication reconciliation, sterile and non -sterile compounding, and controlled substance handling<\/b>.

              • Other Requirements:<\/b>
