Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement

Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Licensed to practice in South Carolina.

Minimum Experience Requirement

Prior training hospital pharmacy preferred. Special courses in IV admixture/compatibility are desired.

Minimum License Requirement

Licensed and in good standing status by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy to practice as a pharmacist or board eligible. If board eligible, must obtain South Carolina pharmacist license within 3 months of hire.

Physical Requirement/Working Conditions

May have irregular hours and long periods of standing and walking. Possible exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, combative patients and other conditions common to a hospital environment. May be exposed to infectious specimens, diseases, but personal harm or injury to self or others is limited when proper safety and health precautions are followed. Able to maintain emotional stability under stressful and complicated situations. External applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential functions, either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis.
