Job Description
A health services organization in Florida is actively seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join their team at one of their federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) in a retail-based clinical setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 6pm (8am to 12pm on Fridays)
- Setting: Retail Pharmacy
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations and maintain an organized, efficient workflow
- Dispense and verify prescriptions accurately while supporting adjudication and production processes
- Supervise pharmacy staff and help train new team members on proper procedures
- Provide patient counseling on prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, including drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, controlled substance procedures, HIPAA, quality standards, and 340B requirements
- Manage inventory, resolve third-party billing issues, and help maintain accurate records and documentation
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Pharmacist experience in a Retail Pharmacy setting
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of Florida
- BLS CPR certification, current and maintained
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Experience with 340B Pharmacy programs
- FQHC experience
- Background with Retail Pharmacy brands, such as Publix, Walmart, CVS, or Walgreens
