A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Ester, Alaska, offering a dynamic hospital environment with variable 8-hour shifts. This role requires a professional with at least one year of hospital pharmacy experience to efficiently support pharmacy operations, including standard hospital orders and product verification.
Location:
Schedule/Hours:- 8-hour shifts with start times between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM
- Variable days including weekends
- Holiday shifts as needed, typically 4-5 hours
- Shift patterns arranged to avoid late/early turnarounds (e.g., no 11 AM shift followed by 7 AM shift)
Responsibilities:- Verify and process hospital pharmacy orders accurately
- Maintain compliance with hospital pharmacy protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use
- Participate in holiday and weekend staffing as required
Qualifications:- Minimum 1+ year of pharmacist experience in a hospital setting
- Familiarity with standard hospital pharmacy orders and product verification processes
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records preferred
- Current Alaska pharmacist license or temporary AK license accepted
- Candidates without an active AK license at submission must apply for the license within 24 hours of offer acceptance
