Location: Fort Worth, TX (must live within 1 hour)
Pay Rate: $60/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST (Onsite)
on-site for first 3 months, if meeting metrics, hybrid is an option afterwards
What You'll Do
Clinical Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive pharmacotherapy reviews for each patient
• Provide counseling on new therapies, side effects, dosing, and adherence
• Complete REMS training and follow program SOPs
• Serve as liaison between patients, caregivers, home health, hospice, and clinicians
• Provide subcutaneous injection teaching as needed
• Coordinate care based on social, physical, or psychological patient needs
• Ensure accurate prescription processing, documentation, and chart management
• Manage therapy discontinuations and deactivate patient profiles
• Participate in on-call coverage (as assigned)
Operational Responsibilities
• Dispense medications per all state, federal & board of pharmacy laws
• Review prescription order entry for accuracy
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and ensure quality assurance
• Adjudicate pharmacy claims as needed
• Maintain compliance with Medicaid/Medicare payer policies
• Monitor hazardous waste management
• Support aseptic technique oversight
• Report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) appropriately
Professional Responsibilities
• Maintain CE requirements per Board of Pharmacy standards
• Support professional development within the care team
• Maintain continuous learning mindset
• Attend conferences and report back on key learnings
Required Qualifications
Must live within 1 hour of Fort Worth, TX
3+ years counseling experience
Must be comfortable being on the phone 7–8 hours/day
Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in NC, TX, or KY
Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
3–5+ years post‑graduate experience in pharmacy operations, clinical oversight, or patient care
Willing to obtain additional state licensure (supported by employer)
Strong computer skills (email, Word, Excel)
Excellent written & verbal communication
Preferred:
BCOP-certified or willing to become BCOP when eligible
Experience with REMS programs, specialty pharmacy, or oncology
