Patient Care & Clinical Monitoring
- Therapeutic Drug Monitoring: Communicates drug levels and results to physicians, nurses, and staff.
- Patient Assessment: Evaluates patient data to identify real and potential drug problems.
- Care Planning: Creates, prioritizes, and sets goals for patient-specific plans.
- Intervention: Improves how facilities prescribe, administer, and monitor medications.
- Sterile Compounding: Prepares sterile admixtures safely and dispenses supplies following all laws.
- Infusion Devices: Programs infusion control pumps and teaches patients, caregivers, and staff how to use them.
- Clinical Documentation: Completes all records per policy to maintain thorough and accurate charts.
- Billing & Insurance: Manages patient charging, identifies payers, and obtains prior authorizations before dispensing medications.
- Compliance: Maintains pharmacy records and ensures operations follow all applicable laws.
Leadership & Consultation
- Education: Answers drug-related questions for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Supervision: Supervises pharmacy operations and staff.
- Quality Improvement: Collects and analyzes Performance Improvement (PI) data for pharmacy functions.
- Scheduling: Participates in a rotating on-call schedule as a full-time pharmacist.
- Certifications: Licensed Pharmacist - Illinois
- Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy is required
- Work Experience: Pharmacist

Salary Range:
The compensation range for this position is $52.06per hour - $89.54per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
