LONG-TERM CARE PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: Horsham PA 19044 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $66/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• • Rotation: Includes alternating weekends

LONG-TERM CARE PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Long-Term Care Pharmacist is responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications and providing clinical oversight for patient drug therapy. Operating in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy technicians to ensure safe, effective, and legally compliant medication management.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

LONG-TERM CARE PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Dispensing & Clinical Review: Review, accept, and accurately dispense prescription medications while monitoring patient compliance and potential over-usage patterns.
• Staff Supervision: Oversee and guide pharmacy staff members, including pharmacy technicians and clerks, to maintain operational excellence.
• Consultation & Communication: Identify drug-related problems and effectively collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners.
• Compounding: Prepare sterile solutions and compound medications for internal or external use following strict safety protocols.
• Compliance & Records: Maintain strict, confidential records of all patients, pharmacy files, and inventory in complete alignment with state and federal laws.

LONG-TERM CARE PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Licensure: Must hold an active, unrestricted license from the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Previous experience working in a Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Familiarity or experience with the AS/400 operating system required
• High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work cohesively within a fast-paced team.
