PHARMACIST IN CHARGE

Cheshire Pharmacy is looking for a passionate and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our team in Cheshire, CT! Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
• Dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper medication use and safety
• Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy staff including technicians and support personnel
• Manage inventory, ordering, and controlled substance recordkeeping
• Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and HIPAA regulations
• Build strong relationships with patients, prescribers, and the local community
• Monitor and improve pharmacy performance metrics, including prescription volume and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
• Active Connecticut Pharmacist license in good standing
• Previous pharmacy management or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of retail/community pharmacy operations and POS/dispensing software
• Excellent patient counseling and communication skills
• Ability to manage staff, delegate tasks, and foster a positive team environment
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
