Position Overview

Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to join Nuvem in Galena, Illinois. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing pharmacy staff, and delivering exceptional patient care within a retail pharmacy environment.

The Pharmacist in Charge will play a key role in supporting workflow efficiency, maintaining compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, and fostering strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from approximately $150,000 to $160,000 annually based on experience and the opportunity to lead pharmacy operations within a collaborative healthcare setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active Illinois Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of retail pharmacy management experience.
  • Previous experience working within a retail pharmacy environment required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience utilizing a Pharmacy Patient Management System and other pharmacy technology platforms.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all applicable pharmacy regulations and operational standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling medications, tools, and pharmacy equipment.
  • Strong fine motor skills required for medication preparation and dispensing activities.
