A premier opportunity is available for skilled pharmacists to support outpatient services within a leading Los Angeles County Department of Health hospital system. This contract role offers the chance to fill a critical need for 1-2 outpatient pharmacists at a well-respected medical center known for its comprehensive ambulatory care network.
Schedule:
Key Responsibilities:- Provide outpatient pharmacy services ensuring safe and effective medication dispensing
- Work collaboratively with medical and nursing staff to support patient care plans
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and hospital policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs
Desired Qualifications:- Current Pharmacy license in good standing
- Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient or retail/outpatient pharmacy experience
- PGY1 residency strongly preferred
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to pass a competency exam required for onboarding
- Successful completion of a Livescan background check
Location:
This contract position serves as a gateway to a permanent role within the Los Angeles County Department of Health System, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including pension and union representation.
