Inpatient Pharmacist – Travel Contract
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists looking to work in a collaborative hospital environment with flexible daytime scheduling.
Schedule
- 5x8 Hour Day Shifts
- Variable start times between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM
- Weekend coverage may be required based on department needs
Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to optimize patient care
- Monitor patient medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions or contraindications
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and hospital pharmacy regulations
- Document pharmacy interventions and patient information using Epic EMR
- Support safe medication practices within the inpatient setting
Requirements
- Active State Pharmacist License required
- Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience with Epic charting systems preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
