Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawaii. The Outpatient Pharmacy department at Hawai'i Pacific Health is committed to ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care and service. We are responsible for compounding and dispensing medications and supplies, as well as providing drug information and education. We strive to ensure our patients remain healthy by providing convenient access to safe and effective medication and offering expert advice. Our department partners with providers and other health care personnel in the hospitals and clinics to create a healthier Hawai'i.
As the Pharmacist, you will compound and dispense medications and supplies, administer immunizations, and supervise the pharmacy staff while on duty. You will be responsible for management, oversight, and operation of all activities of the Outpatient Pharmacy department, including patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, loss prevention, financial profitability, and workflow management while on duty. Also, you will be responsible for providing information concerning medications to other health professionals, and monitors the safe distribution of medications to the patient.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawaii Pharmacist License. Must obtain Immunization Certification through an accredited organization recognized by the Hawai'i Board of Pharmacy within three (3) months of hire. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Not on DEA excluded parties list.
Preferred Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). One (1) year of outpatient pharmacy experience.
