The Clinical Pharmacist shall perform clinical, distributive, super visional, and educational functions necessary to support the departmental functions. Furthermore, he/she use critical thinking skills and exercises independent decision-making as needed for the provision of safe and rational medication therapy. In addition, the Pharmacist works to uphold all department related policies and procedures with close attention to medication management duties dictated by the Joint Commission.

If routinely staffed in critical care areas will require one or all of the following advanced life support certifications within 90 days of hire or transfer, as applicable (verify with Pharmacy Director):
American Heart Association ACLS (maintain current at all times)
PALS (maintain current at all times)
NRP (maintain current at all times)
S.T.A.B.L.E. (maintain current at all times)
Able to work all shifts and weekends
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Completion of an ASHP residency program
Certification through the board of pharmaceutical specialties or equivalent
Collaborative practice experience using protocol management skills
Office (Word, Excel, PPT) experience
Familiarity with CPOE, Cerner, or other electronic documentation systems
