Hudson Pharmacy & Surgical: is a specialty pharmacy that provides medication and medical equipment to Long-term care facilities and the public with our award-winning customer service and free delivery.
The pharmacy department also dispenses medication in retail and to long-term residence in assisted, independent, and enhanced living communities. We work very closely with the wellness center of long-term care facilities to provide dispensing systems and reports to ensure accurate and safe administration of medication. We have competitively low prices and provide free local delivery. Our customers can order their prescriptions on-line and get vaccine and flu shots in the store and at our on-site clinics. We also sell, install, repair, and rent medical equipment.
Responsibilities: Review and execute physicians prescriptions checking their appropriateness while complying with all legal rules, regulations, and procedures. Ensure efficient workflow for accurate dispensing, and delivering of medication orders in a timely manner. Monitor inventory management by adhering to ordering, stocking and return practices. Develops relationships with healthcare professionals, and patients, to interpret their needs and issues, and offer prompt resolutions. Conduct vaccination clinics in Long Term Care Facilities and communicate with staff to provide a smooth experience for patients. Have a resolution focused mindset while promoting teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment. Keep abreast of advancements in pharmacy care and state/federal law changes
Proven experience as a pharmacist: Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands etc. Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and Pharmacy information systems (eg. QS1, DocuTrack, DeliveryTrac, MOT etc.) Good organizing skills Excellent communication skills with a customer oriented approach Integrity and compassion and a valid license to practice the profession
Job Type: part-time
Schedule: Two days per week. Plus one or two Saturdays per month. The role also includes providing coverage for full-time Pharmacists PTO days and vacation time.
