Job Title: Pharmacist – Inpatient Hospital (Recent Hospital Experience Required)
Location: New York City, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: 5 Days/Week | 37.5 Hours/Week
Shift: Rotating (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM & 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM)
Pay Rate: $3,200 – $4,400/week (based on experience)
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to support a high-volume acute care hospital system. The role focuses on safe medication dispensing, sterile compounding, IV room operations, and clinical pharmacy support in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
This position requires recent hospital pharmacy experience and strong knowledge of inpatient workflows, medication safety, and EMR systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process inpatient medication orders
- Ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing per hospital protocols
- Perform IV preparation and sterile compounding
- Operate pharmacy dispensing systems and EMR platforms
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams
- Monitor drug interactions, dosing accuracy, and patient safety
- Maintain compliance with NYSED regulations and hospital policies
- Manage controlled substances and pharmacy inventory
- Provide clinical pharmacy support in acute care setting
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred)
- Active New York State Pharmacist License (NYSED)
- Minimum 1 year pharmacist experience
- Recent hospital inpatient pharmacy experience required
- Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations
Preferred Skills
- IV room and sterile compounding experience
- Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems
- Hospital EMR experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts
