Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for a short-term assignment in the Portage, Indiana area. This role supports an inpatient care environment within a safety-focused organization that values teamwork, accountability, and high-quality patient care. The assignment is ideal for a pharmacist who can step into a PRN setting and contribute immediately to daily pharmacy operations.

Requirements
  • Active Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Prior inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • EPIC experience required
  • Experience with medication reconciliation and discharge counseling
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail
Responsibilities
  • Verify, prepare, and dispense medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Support medication reconciliation and discharge medication counseling
  • Monitor drug therapy for dosing accuracy, interactions, and contraindications
  • Participate in antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacokinetic dosing support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and controlled substance accountability
  • Support pharmacy safety, quality, and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards
