PAY: $73.05 - $77.24 /hr BOE, EOE
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Pharmacist will be reporting to the Pharmacy Director and will be working closely with a team of tenured pharmacy technicians. Independently reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems. Contacts physicians, nurses and other professionals as necessary to facilitate care. Manages drug therapy protocols as part of physician-pharmacist-nurse team.
· Performs specialized order entry functions and maintains pharmaceutical care documentation.
· Responds to questions from physicians and nursing staff and patients regarding medicines and pharmaceuticals.
· Monitors individual patient drug therapy for medication safety and appropriateness.
· Monitors and updates charge system for drugs and pharmaceutical services.
· Documents drug therapy clinical interventions, medication errors, and adverse drug reaction events per pharmacy operational protocol.
· Responsible for overseeing the work/duties of the pharmacy technicians, the functions of the IV cleanroom, and doing final verification for IV preparations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Be a graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education
· Current pharmacist license for WA state
· 5 years of Pharmacy experience in applicable area
