Pharmacist

JOB TITLE: Clinical Pharmacist

STATUS: Non-Exempt

SUPERVISED BY: Director of Pharmacy

Position Summary:

Responsible for preparing pharmaceutical prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner, and to provide the related clinical pharmacy services.

Qualifications:

The incumbent should have a BS/Pharm.D in pharmacy with at least 1 year experience in hospital or home pharmacy practice involved with the preparation of intravenous medications and significant clinical experience.

Current, active and in good standing pharmacist license in the state of employment

Performance Expectations:

1. Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws relating to the practice of pharmacy.
2. Provides clinical information and services to all patients, nursing, and physicians.
3. Interfaces with physicians and other clinical people with a professional attitude.
4. Prepares prescriptions, solutions, and medications accurately and promptly.
5. Keeps abreast of new pharmacy technologies and practices.
