We are seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Pharmacist to join our team in a critical-need role. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys combining clinical expertise, patient education, medication management, and team leadership in a collaborative healthcare environment.
What You’ll Do
Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Review prescriptions for appropriateness, potential drug interactions, contraindications, and other medication-related concerns.
Monitor patient medication adherence and identify potential medication overuse or other drug-related issues.
Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including proper dosage, administration, storage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
Answer patient questions and provide personalized medication guidance.
Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Provide patient-focused services such as blood-pressure monitoring, cholesterol management, and smoking-cessation support.
Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including glucose meters and blood-pressure monitors.
Compound medications for internal and external use and prepare sterile solutions in accordance with appropriate procedures and safety standards.
Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
Manage pharmaceutical and medical-supply inventory to ensure appropriate availability and compliance.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, interns, and other members of the healthcare team.
What You Bring
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
Active pharmacist license in the applicable state required
Strong knowledge of prescription and non-prescription medications
Excellent communication and patient-counseling skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Leadership skills and the ability to supervise and support pharmacy staff
Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
