Department: PHARMACY Inpatient - SAN Certs/Licensure Requirements CO Pharmacist, BLS What areas will they cover (ER, ICU, Inpt, Outpt, etc.) Inpatient Pharmacy. Based in central pharmacy. Med checking and order verification for patients housewide (ED, Med Surg, OB, NICU). Less ICU as we have an ICU pharmacist shift daily. Common Duties/Job Requirements/Skills Order verification, medication information questions, checking medication fulfillment (Pyxis batches, IV batches, first doses, etc.). Experience or 'Must have' skills Epic experience as a pharmacist strongly preferred, >3 years inpatient pharmacist experience strongly preferred Pharmacy Manager/Supervisor Reports to Pharmacy Clinical Manager Pharmacy Techs? 1-3 techs working at a time on day/eve Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) 10 hour shifts, mostly day shifts. Shifts start at 0530, 0730, 0930, 1300. (No nights) Weekend Requirements Every third to every other Sat+Sun Holiday Requirements During contract, potential for Labor Day Is there an on-call requirement? No Medication Dispensing System? How does it work? Epic, Pyxis, Carousel Scrubs or Dress Code Requirements Business casual or facility scrubs (if in clean room or procedural areas) Department specific orientation About 1 week of unit orientation Additional Notes Always working with at least one other pharmacist. No med rec required.
