Your future role at a glance:

Location: Andalusia, AL

Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Center at Andalusia

Schedule: Day | Full-time | Monday - Friday

How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Managing all pharmaceutical inventory, which includes the precise receipt, storage, and organization of incoming supplies, as well as preparing and fulfilling medication orders for the department.
  • Executing the meticulous preparation of both sterile and non-sterile compounds, and accurately repackaging bulk medications, while adhering to the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Serving as the vital communication bridge between the pharmacy, our patients, and other health professionals. 
  • Efficiently triaging all incoming calls and providing crucial, accurate information to ensure coordinated and exceptional patient care.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:
    • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience. OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
What additional requirements you'll need:
  • Two years of pharmacy tech experience.
  • IV compounding experience.
