Job Title: Pharmacy AssistantJob Description This Pharmacy Assistant position supports a high-volume Central Fill pharmacy in Everett, WA that supplies patient-level prescriptions for a large national retail chain. You will work in an automated refill center and perform a variety of warehouse and pharmacy support tasks, including packing prescriptions, processing orders, and preparing shipments. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented role with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency, and offers opportunities to grow and advance within a best-in-class pharmacy operations environment. Responsibilities + Work in an automated refill center that supports patient-level prescriptions for a large national retail chain. + Process orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for all outgoing prescriptions. + Fold and pack paperwork with patient prescriptions to prepare them for shipment. + Sort patient orders by store location and place them into totes for shipping. + Load packed product and totes onto trucks for distribution. + Review operational reports to identify and correct errors before orders leave the facility. + Follow and comply with all policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). + Perform general warehouse operations related to pick, pack, and ship activities in a pharmacy production environment. + Support prescription refill operations with a strong focus on accuracy and quality. + Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, high-volume automated environment to meet production goals. + Maintain a safety-first attitude in all tasks and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. + Participate in training opportunities to expand skills and support best-in-class pharmacy operations. Essential Skills + WA State Pharmacy Assistant License, or ability to obtain the license within 1-2 weeks of hire. + 0-1 year of experience in a pharmacy production environment or similar setting. + Experience or familiarity with pharmacy support functions such as prescription refill processes. + Basic data entry skills to support accurate order and prescription processing. + Experience with or ability to perform pick, pack, and ship tasks in a warehouse or healthcare support environment. + Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed. + Ability to stand and walk for the majority of an 8+ hour shift. + Ability to perform physical activities including bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping throughout the shift. + Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate packing, sorting, and shipping of prescriptions. + Ability to follow written procedures, policies, and SOPs consistently. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Background in healthcare support or pharmacy support is helpful. + Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume, automated environment. + Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and quality. + Willingness to participate in a variety of training opportunities to support growth and advancement. + Strong reliability and flexibility to support mandatory overtime when required. Work Environment This role is based on-site in a Central Fill pharmacy facility in Everett, WA. You will work in a fast-paced, high-volume, automated pick, pack, and ship environment with no direct patient interaction and no insurance data entry responsibilities. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with mandatory overtime that is regular and often up to 1 hour, and occasionally up to 2 hours following major U.S. holidays. The position requires standing and walking for most of an 8+ hour shift, as well as frequent bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.95 - $20.95/hr.
