PHARMACY BENEFITS SUPPORT SPECIALIST

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $24/hour
• Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. CST
• Full-time, W2 employment
(Training typically Mon - Fri from 9:00a - 6:00pm)
ROLE IMPACT
Put your pharmacy expertise to work beyond the traditional pharmacy counter. As a Pharmacy Tech Care Guide, you’ll help members navigate prescription benefits, prior authorizations, medication access, and clinical support programs—combining pharmacy knowledge with hands-on member guidance to help remove barriers to care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct first-level reviews of prior authorization requests for GLP-1 and related therapies, confirming required documentation and established criteria are complete.
• Track medication fills, renewals, pending authorizations, and outstanding requests to support timely resolution and program service levels.
• Guide members through prescription benefits, coverage options, co-pay assistance, reimbursement resources, and applicable clinical programs.
• Help members navigate lifestyle and chronic condition management programs while coordinating with vendors, pharmacies, and clinical review teams.
• Document member interactions and case activity accurately while supporting program reporting, quality standards, and HIPAA requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
• 2+ years of pharmacy experience in a retail pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), or managed care environment.
• Strong member service, organization, documentation, and verbal and written communication skills with Microsoft Office proficiency.

• Experience helping members resolve prescription coverage, medication access, or clinical program questions.
