Position Summary Under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager the Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for providing incredible service to all Vincent’s customers and also responsible for properly and accurately handling all monies. Location: Kiawah Island - Fresh Fields Village Must be available Saturdays and some weekday afternoons
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Rings up all sales on cash register, properly and accurately handling money, checks and other types of payment received for products sold.
Answer telephone and route calls appropriately.
Provides prompt, courteous customer service
Performs housecleaning duties necessary to maintain store cleanliness and basic upkeep and/or cleaning of all equipment in the store
Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses
Performs all duties with minimal supervision, and may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and other duties as assigned
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in retail sales preferred
Ability to work successfully in a team environment
Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less.
Skills:
Attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.
Ability to work in a standing environment
Ability to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously.
Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, customers, and management.
Work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines.
Ability to perform repetitious work accurately.
Work Environment / Physical Demands This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged standing in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to fill prescriptions and operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment.
