Join UCLA Health as a Clinical Manager, a key leadership role within Pharmacy Services at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, you will be responsible for the overall development, implementation, and oversight of clinical pharmacy programs while supporting the professional growth and competency development of clinical pharmacy staff.

In this role, you will lead clinical and performance improvement initiatives related to medication use, drug therapy optimization, and cost containment. You will collaborate closely with medical staff, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical pharmacy programs that align with departmental and medical center goals.

You will also ensure timely communication of new and updated policies, procedures, and clinical practices. You will provide operational and clinical leadership by ensuring services are delivered in compliance with departmental policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements.

This includes serving as a liaison between pharmacy and nursing teams, supporting budget adherence, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and quality of care.

Job Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced clinical pharmacy leader with:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital inpatient pharmacy experience or completion of an accredited residency
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and departmental policies
  • Experience developing and implementing clinical pharmacy programs and performance improvement initiatives
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience providing drug information, clinical education, and in-service programs
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects, identify problems, and recommend effective solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including policy and procedure development
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment with frequent interruptions
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, and UCLA Health policies and standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASHP-accredited residency
  • Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS)
  • Prior supervisory or clinical leadership experience
  • Active participation in professional pharmacy organizations
