    Description

    Family First Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Delivery Driver for our pharmacy at our George Street, York location. Candidates should be computer proficient and have the ability to learn medical/pharmacy terminology. As a PRN Pharmacy Delivery Driver at Family First Health, you should have a positive and outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills and strong organizational skills. Candidates must also have a valid driver's license to qualify.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Transports prescriptions from Family First Pharmacy to patients.
    • Ensures prescriptions are delivered promptly, efficiently, and accurately to intended recipients.
    • Communicates and resolves prescription delivery issues with pharmacy personnel and patients.
    • Follows all standard operating procedures for delivery tracking, including obtaining delivery receipt acknowledgements from patients and completing internal delivery logs.
    • Maintains security and integrity of all prescriptions throughout delivery process.
    • Performs daily inspections of delivery vehicle to ensure it is in safe, working condition; report any concerns to Facilities Director.
    • Cross-trains in other duties within the Pharmacy department. Ability to fill in based on delivery volume and departmental needs.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

    • Valid driver's license and knowledge of safe vehicle operation; safe driving record.
    • Minimum 18 years of age
    • No prior felony offenses related to controlled substances, or had a DEA application denied, revoked, or surrendered for cause.
    • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation as it relates to correspondence necessary to perform essential job functions
    • Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures necessary to perform essential job functions
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to critically think which means the ability to think clearly and rationally about what to do or what to believe; understand logical connections between ideas; and identify, construct, and evaluate arguments
    • Ability to set positive examples for team members through exceptional work performance including adherence to company policies and processes.
    • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
    • Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information
    • Ability to communicate well and in a caring and supportive manner with individuals of all backgrounds.

    • Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, volunteers, and the public
    • Ability to be organized, proactive in follow-up and follow-through, and to juggle multiple competing tasks
    • Ability to adhere to all Family First Health's policies, processes, and procedures, especially, Code of Conduct, Workplace Conduct, and the Remote/Telework Policy if indicated eligible to work remotely or telework.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Mental/Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with a Delivery Driver position such as:

    • Requires correct vision and hearing to normal range.
    • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
    • Frequent changes from sitting to standing/walking, operating a vehicle for extended periods of time.
    • Occasional stooping, crouching, or kneeling.
    • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
