The Opportunity
An acute care hospital in the greater Memphis, TN region is seeking a Director of Pharmacy to lead the full scope of its pharmacy department — clinical programs, operations, staffing, budget, and regulatory compliance. This is a senior leadership role with real authority: you will shape how medication management is practiced at this facility, build and develop the team beneath you, and own the department's direction.
Compensation is strong, ranging from $148,000 to $220,000 based on experience, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

The Role
As Director of Pharmacy, you will manage the medication use process end-to-end. That means overseeing both clinical and operational functions — developing and refining pharmacy practice standards, ensuring alignment with best practices across the profession, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body requirements, and managing the annual department budget and capital expenditure requests.
This is a director-level position with meaningful scope. You will recruit, hire, develop, and retain pharmacy staff, and you will hold accountability for policy and procedure review, revision, and implementation on an ongoing basis.

About the Location
The greater Memphis area is a region with real character — a convergence of Southern culture, a nationally recognized food and music heritage, and a healthcare landscape that draws serious clinical professionals. The area sits at the intersection of several states, making it a natural hub for healthcare delivery across a broad population. Cost of living is meaningfully lower than coastal markets, and the area offers a mix of established neighborhoods, strong higher education presence, and outdoor access along the Mississippi River corridor. For candidates open to a region that trades coastal price tags for genuine livability, the Mid-South is worth a closer look.
