Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Engineering Technician 3 to support the logistics, installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical and electromechanical systems used in prescription drug distribution. This role requires strong technical expertise, independent judgment, and a proactive approach to improving equipment performance, quality, and throughput.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee logistics, fabrication, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electromechanical equipment and systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Troubleshoot automated equipment, including electro pneumatic controls, to minimize downtime
  • Install new equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and computer systems
  • Evaluate mechanical products and systems for efficiency, cost effectiveness, and performance
  • Lead and perform testing of equipment and related software to ensure proper operation and defect free performance
  • Recommend and implement design and process improvements to reduce malfunctions, lower cost to fill, increase throughput, and improve quality
  • Maintain detailed preventive maintenance documentation, including issues, repairs, parts used, and recommendations
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
  • Report equipment condition and status to the Maintenance Supervisor as needed
  • Independently prioritize assignments and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in resolving equipment issues

Required Qualifications

  • 4 5 years of hands on electrical and mechanical experience
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs
  • POS programming knowledge
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Excellent record of project and assignment completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting automated equipment in regulated or high throughput environments
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance best practices and continuous improvement methodologies
