    Job Description:

    Beacon has an excellent opportunity available within our clinic as a Pharmacy Grants and Free Drug Specialist. If you are looking for exciting, flexible, and stimulating work with meaningful advancement opportunities available, then consider Beacon the right place for you! 

    This individual coordinates with patients, healthcare providers, and the care team to secure free medication and grant assistance, ensuring patients receive the resources they need. Responsibilities include managing grant applications and post-award activities, maintaining compliance with grant requirements and applicable regulations, preparing reports and documentation, and fostering community partnerships that improve patient outcomes. The position also collaborates across the pharmacy team and cross-trains in prior authorization processes to support seamless, patient-centered care.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Coordinates with patients and providers, and prepares required forms needed in order for our patients to receive necessary free drug and grants. 

    • Completes submission and post award activities of grants received. 

    • Ensures compliance within conditions of free drug and grants by monitoring and analyzing agreements, contracts, expenses, activities, and applicable federal and state regulations.  

    • Maintains records and prepares reports related to grants issued and or received. 

    • Builds and sustains relationships in the community that serves to improve positive outcomes for our patients. 

    • Works with entire care team to identify and aid patients with their unique needs. 

    • Cross-trains in the prior authorization duties of the pharmacy to ensure seamless patient care. 

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Compassionate and caring bedside manner. 

    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to balance competing priorities. 

    • Strong written and verbal communication. 

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED 

    • Understanding of free drug and grants a strong plus. 

    • Medical and/or Pharmacy experience strongly preferred.

    • May be asked to work at both locations
