Overview:
The Pharmacy Inventory Specialist coordinaates all inventory for the pharmacy. This position is located in Baton Rouge, LA (6100 Corporate Blvd.)
This position offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a consistent Monday through Friday work schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no evening and weekend required.
About the Role:
- Create, process, and transmit orders with wholesalers
- Look for shorts, substitutions, product changes, price anomalies and correct and report changes
- Verify Orders upon receipt for accuracy /shorts
- Participates in accreditation quality management committees and any other applicable accreditation needs
- Mark for Expiration Dates by month or quarter and review and take action on items with less than a year of dating
- Receive / Enter Orders into inventory
- Review Pricing again before stocking
- Stock Product on shelves by expiration priority
- Monitor and report MAC issues and/or lost profit issues
- Order new product NDC into stock upon review and approval. Discontinue old product NDC from Pioneer
- Enter Inventory quantities, manually, as necessary for 340B orders and outside purchases
- Work with other Pharmacies to inner store transfer product where applicable and appropriate
- Manage, coordinate, and follow up on annual amnesty return process
- Follow proper protocol for all product returned from patients and/or for shipping issues
- Manages all returns
- Performs all technician duties under the supervision of a pharmacist and follows instructions given by supervising pharmacist
- Participates in all store inventories if requested
- Trains new Pharmacy Technicians on approved company procedures
- Performs other related duties as assigned

About You:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One or more years of related Pharmacy Technician experience
- Must be currently registered with the Board of Pharmacy (BOP) in Louisiana
- State "Certified" as a Pharmacy Technician required
- National Pharmacy Technician certification through an accredited certification program
- Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong MS Office computer skills with the ability to type 30+ wpm
- Experience with pharmacy software such as PioneerRx, QSI, etc. preferred
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical/Health Records (EMR/EHR) such as EPIC, NextGen, CERNER, etc. preferred
- Must have a positive attitude, be energetic and flexible, have excellent phone etiquette, and provide exceptional customer service
