Summary
Assists pharmacy customers in choosing durable or home medical equipment as prescribed by physicians in person, by phone, and other methods of communication. Measures and fits for custom and non-custom orthotics, vascular garments, and mastectomy products. Monitors inventory of medical supplies. May assist in other areas of the pharmacy as needed such as pharmacy customer service, inventory coordination, and order fulfillment.

Job Duties

• Assists pharmacy customers in their selection of medical equipment and supplies
• Receives inventory, labels prices/costs, and places in appropriate areas.
• Measures fit for customer medical products and garments in the pharmacy or on patient care units.
• Performs quality control, property management, and repair parts management.
• Advises and educates customers in the purchase and selection of products.
• Assists patients and customers at the pharmacy or upon request by phone.
• Monitors stock levels and submits purchase orders to various manufacturers.
• Verifies coverage for patient related purchases billed to insurance and ensures pre-authorizations are obtained and billing is done in a timely manner.
• Assists in the coordination of the equipment repair process and maintains inventory and pricing verification

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2 years of experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Word, Excel, and email.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
