Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital, and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence-recognized surgeons, imaging, and primary and specialty care.
Responsibilities:
The pharmacy operations manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department and providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist, as needed.
This includes inventory management, staff oversight, policy and procedure development, and education within the pharmacy.
In addition, the operations manager should provide support, mentoring, and oversight of the activities of the clinical pharmacists and supportive personnel on staff.
The operations manager shall also assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
B.S. or PharmD. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
5+ years of hospital pharmacy experience (inclusive of related leadership experience).
Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
Other applicable state requirements – i.e., sterile compounding, etc.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Experience working in Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Record Systems.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
1 year as a pharmacy operations specialist.
Hospital Pharmacy Management experience.
ALS/ACLS certification.
