PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- Ensuring proper record maintenance including collecting allergies, contact information, and payment methods
- Handle inbound calls concerning prescription inquiries and/or triage to the appropriate departments as needed
- Conducting outbound calls such as welcome calls, refill scheduling calls and physician office follow up calls
- Perform benefit investigations and coordination of benefits
- Coordinating timely and accurate medication delivery with members and providers
- Using operating systems and other tools to assist in managing medication adherence /reimbursement services
- Directing all clinical inquiries and clinical concerns to a pharmacist
- Act as a liaison with various channels of healthcare to provide timely access of medication to the patient
- Maintain patient/member confidentiality and HIPPA compliance at all times
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Florida or Georgia Pharmacy Technician Registration is required
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computation skills
- Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service setting or minimum of 1 year in a specialty pharmacy setting
- Spanish speaking preferred
- RMA, CMA preferred, not required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit for a minimum of (7) hours
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20lbs
- Ability to multitask
