The position involves working as an inpatient pharmacist in a hospital setting. The schedule consists of rotating shifts during weekdays and some weekends, including every third weekend. Day shifts may vary, with times such as 0630-1500, 0730-1600, and 0900-1730. Evening shifts typically run from 1300-2130 or 1430-2300. Overnight shifts may be required, with times from 1930-0730. Candidates must have experience in IV preparation and pain management. Responsibilities include the verification of medication orders and ensuring proper dosage. Chemotherapy experience is preferred, along with knowledge of anticoagulants and dosage adjustments based on renal function. Candidates must be comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary team. Professional dress or hunter green scrubs are required. The hiring facility will not accept any history of license or background hits for consideration. Candidates must also meet fit testing requirements for respiratory protection.
Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience required; travel experience preferred. Must have license in hand at the time of submission. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; PharmD, RPh required. EPIC charting experience required. IV experience required. Experience with pain-controlled analgesia, antibiotics, drug interactions, order entry, and verifying medication orders required. Chemotherapy experience, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing preferred.
