Job Title : Travel Inpatient Pharmacist
Location : Carson City, Nevada
Contract Length : 13 Weeks
Schedule : Night Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts| 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM
This is a 7-on / 7-off schedule running Wednesday through Tuesday.
Position Overview
A well-established regional medical center in Nevada is seeking a Travel Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists looking to expand their acute care and hospital pharmacy experience within a collaborative inpatient setting.
The facility utilizes a centralized pharmacy model and advanced medication distribution systems, including pneumatic tube technology. Candidates should be comfortable working independently during overnight shifts while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
Review, verify, and dispense medications for inpatient populations
Monitor medication therapies for safety and effectiveness
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff regarding medication management
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
Support medication preparation and distribution processes
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and pharmacy regulations
Participate in overnight pharmacy operations and workflow management
Requirements
Graduate of an Accredited School of Pharmacy
Active Nevada Pharmacist License OR eligibility to obtain one
Epic experience required
Hospital inpatient pharmacy experience required
First-time travelers accepted with prior hospital experience
Minimum 1 recent supervisor reference required
Preferred:
2 years of specialty experience
