  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 3 months
  • Pay Rate: $75.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 4x10 Hours, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary

This is a Pharmacist Inpatient contract opportunity at a Critical Access / Level III Trauma Center with a total of 25 staffed beds, functioning as a teaching hospital. The role is a reduced Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) position 0 hours NBO versus the standard 40-hour NBO and all orientation hours are billable for preferred profiles. This position will not float between units, does not require on-call coverage, does not require weekend availability, and does operate on a block schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the medication use process within an outpatient infusion center
  • Order verification of non-hazardous and hazardous outpatient infusion medications, including oncology
  • IV infusion compounding product evaluation and verification
  • Evaluation of oncology and non-oncology treatment plans
  • Evaluation and verification of insurance coverage prior to initiating a treatment plan
  • Infusion medication patient education
  • Infusion adverse reaction participation and management

Required Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience with outpatient infusion
  • Knowledge of oncology and non-oncology infusion medication management
  • Ability to verify insurance coverage prior to initiating treatment plans
  • Experience with IV infusion compounding product evaluation and verification
  • Familiarity with order verification processes for both non-hazardous and hazardous medications

Education Requirements

  • PharmD or RPh License required (Oregon license required)
