Required License/Registration/Certification

Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

This position requires use of a computer workstation, completion of tasks with repetitive motions, and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position may require personnel to wear personal protective equipment to reduce risk of exposure to work-related hazards (e.g. handling of hazardous medications).

Shift

Hours ranging from 7:30 a.m.- 6:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

Job Summary

Assists pharmacists in providing medications to patients in an inpatient hospital and outpatient infusion setting. Prepares and compounds individual patient doses, primarily sterile hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications for adult and pediatric populations in accordance with current USP guidelines. Maintains a sterile work environment with specified cleaning procedures. Assists pharmacists and other technicians with inventory management of materials and medications. This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process should your application be selected to move forward. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate's experience.

This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

Hospital/retail pharmacy technician and/or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
