This is a whole year internship program, during the school year students work every 3rd weekend (both Saturday and Sunday). During the summer, interns work 2-3 shifts weekly for 5 weeks (it can be nonconsecutive weeks) and during wintertime, interns works 2-3 shifts per week. There is a commitment to work 3 holidays in a year. Currently the shifts could start as early as 7:00 am or as late as 2:30pm. These are 8.5 hours shifts which are subject to change based on department needs.
This Pharmacy Student Intern position is responsible for providing Pharmacy Services within the Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacy Department of the Nemours Alfred I DuPont Hospital for Children (AIDHC). The position is responsible for assisting in the preparation (including technical aspects of preparation) and delivery of all medications to patients. This position is responsible for providing customer service to internal and external customers, working under the operational supervision of the pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing and distributing medications.
