Assists the Pharmacy Services Business Manager in maximizing 340B Revenue while maintaining highest standards of compliance.

Required: Current California Pharmacy Technician or Licensed Vocational Nurse
Preferred: 340B Apexus Certified Expert (340B ACE)
Education
Required: High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Experience
Required: Three years of Pharmacy Tech or Licensed Vocational Nurse experience.
Preferred: Pharmacy buyer/inventory coordinator or relevant purchasing analytics experience. 340B and software experience. Billing experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Responsible for testing, evaluating, and reporting activity for the 340B program at a system level. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, applicable guidelines, and administrative policies and procedures.
Runs reports from 340B software to gather data and detect deficient controls. Validates patient records, purchasing and billing information to identify non-compliance with 340B regulations and policies and procedures.
Navigates EMRs, purchasing systems, and 340B software to assess compliance.
Visits contract pharmacy sites to confirm compliance with 340B program and parameters stipulated in contract pharmacy agreements. Reviews prescriptions and purchases, including review of return to stock prescriptions and prescription signature logs.
Notifies Pharmacy Business Coordinator of audit results and non-compliance issues. Based on audit results, works with 340B operational team to develop and implement corrective actions needed to meet regulatory requirements.
Participates in OPA and manufacturer audits by analyzing data and providing an explanation of data flow through the various systems. Also supports audits by interpreting and responding to data requests throughout the process.
Works with 340B Pharmacy Business Coordinator and applicable stakeholders to ensure applicable data is available and ensures up-to-date monitoring of the compliance reports according to policies and procedures.
Monitors 340B contract agreements for expiration/renewal dates and ensures OPA database information for contract pharmacies.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
