Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Days | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8-hour shifts)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience within the specialty.
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.
• Required:
  • Current Georgia Pharmacy Technician Registration
  • Hazardous drug and chemotherapy compounding experience (required)
• Preferred:
  • Oncology pharmacy experience

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician medication orders.
• Prepare and compound hazardous medications and chemotherapy in accordance with USP standards and facility policies.
• Perform pharmaceutical handling, packaging, labeling, and medication distribution.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with medication safety and quality standards.
• Manage inventory, including medication stocking, expiration monitoring, and replenishment.
• Support pharmacy operations in multiple functional areas, including:
  • Oncology
  • Sterile and hazardous compounding
  • Production and distribution
  • Inventory management
  • Controlled substances
  • Surgery
  • Home care/outpatient services
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure safe and timely medication delivery.
• Provide pharmacy support for patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Facility Details

• Department: 423A GCS Canton – Pharmacy
• High-volume outpatient clinic specializing in oncology services.
• Candidates must have experience with hazardous drug handling and chemotherapy compounding.

Position Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Monday through Friday day shift in a high-volume outpatient oncology pharmacy
