Job Summary and Qualifications The Certified Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting Pharmacists in all daily activities related to department workflow while knowing and acting in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position assists in the procurement preparation delivery return and restocking of medications and maintains the ability to use all equipment and technology necessary to fulfill job responsibilities effectively and efficiently. This technician also facilitates exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers and is responsible for contributing to a positive work environment.
What you will do in this role You will maintain a strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispenses accordingly. You will consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions errors and complaints. You will assist with quality improvement initiatives inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals. You will monitor record and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
What qualifications you will need TN State Pharmacy Tech license required PTCB Certification required Hospital experience required.

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120 bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 247 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times.
