Position Overview
- The Pharmacy Technician I – Ambulatory Retail supports daily pharmacy operations within a high‑volume outpatient pharmacy environment. This evening‑shift role is ideal for candidates who enjoy a structured schedule, patient interaction, and being part of a team that directly impacts patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management
- Accurately process prescriptions and patient information using pharmacy systems
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and clinical staff
- Receive, unpack, and organize medication deliveries and supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy work environment
- Adhere to all Penn Medicine, state, and federal pharmacy regulations
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Pharmacy Technician Certification - CPhT (Required)
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (PA State Board of Pharmacy (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or ambulatory pharmacy setting
- Experience working in a high‑volume pharmacy environment
